Chef Aaron from Elijah’s Promise Community Kitchen in New Brunswick recently spoke to children at Catholic Charities’ Youth Partial Care program. He explained the importance of math and science as it applies to cooking and spoke to the children about available career paths in Culinary Arts. Chef Aaron answered the children’s many questions and enjoyed cupcakes prepared by the children. The event was facilitated by the
Mobile Family Success Center of Middlesex County, a community-based, family centered program that utilizes neighborhood gathering places where any community resident can go for family support, information and services.
The Youth Partial Care (YPC) Program at Catholic Charities in Edison provides group counseling to youth and adolescents who are experiencing serious emotional, behavioral, and/or psychiatric challenges. Youth and adolescents learn to improve social skills, enhance coping strategies for managing difficult situations and are given the opportunity to bond with other youth and adolescents who understand their challenges.
