Catholic Charities, DOM is seeking a Life Skills Counselor for our Crossroads Program covering Warren and Hunterdon Counties. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
Working in the home and community with young adults to assist with improving their independent living skills. This includes educational planning, job planning, daily living skills, money management, self-care, and any other areas necessary for independence as well as assist in linkage to appropriate community resources.
Knowledge of local and state resources pertaining to employment, housing and financial stability would be beneficial.
Provides intervention as necessary and, if required, refers and connects young adults to crisis counseling and other mental health and/or drug addiction services-interventions.
Must have proficient writing and communication skills.
Establish partnerships with community organizations that will aid the organization's purpose fulfillment.
Minimum Requirements:
Monday to Friday.
Some evening hours may be required.
Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Driver’s license with clean driving history required.
Local travel is required (company vehicle is provided or travel reimbursement).
