The Adoption Support & Advocacy Program serves children and families in the Division of Child Protection & Permanency (DCP&P) foster care system as well as in pre-adoptive and adoptive homes to help stabilize placements, prepare children for adoption, and prevent placement disruptions. Catholic Charities clinicians provide in-home individual and family therapy for a period of ten weeks.
The program also serves children who have already been adopted and need counseling services related to adoption issues. Referrals are accepted from the client's legal guardian, including both DCP&P (Middlesex, Union, and Essex counties) and individual families. (Other counties can be considered on an as-needed basis.)
