Supervision of program’s case managers as well as responsible for reviewing, evaluating and processing Middlesex County Emergency Rental Assistance program applications
This includes, but it not limited to: interacting with, and assisting, tenant and/or landlord applicants with their completion of an application; reviewing applications and supporting documentation submitted through an online portal for completeness; communicating through emails, phone calls, and regular mail to tenants, landlords, and other pertinent parties, which may include other governmental agencies and employer; calculating housing income for program eligibility; evaluating application package to determine eligibility and amount of housing assistance to be provided; submitting requests to process payments according to establish program procedures; entering needed household demographic information and documentation into one or more reporting systems; reviewing eligibility every three months for applicants that are receiving ongoing assistance
Rental Assistance Case Managers must maintain a clear understanding of Federal regulations and local program requirements regarding benefits. Management of client flow and sensitivity to the amount of available funds are essential duties for the job
This job requires flexibility, sensitivity to the applicants, strong organizational skills and ability to apply and evaluation applications consistently and in accordance with the program objectives and policies
