Independent Living Program Director– Perth Amboy, NJ

· Annual Salary = $70,000

Responsibilities:

· Supervise a multi-disciplinary team that provides intensive case management to young adults ages 18-24 who have experienced out of home placement and housing instability.

· Oversee day to day operations of implementing an evidenced-based program model.

· Effectively manage the electronic referral system.

· Meet with young adults eligible to apply for the program and be able to assess their readiness for program entry.

· Conduct community outreach/presentations in the community; develop and maintain community relationships with employers and post-secondary schools/programs to support young adults in the program.

· Provide after hours on-call coverage to direct staff on-call.

Requirements:

• BA/BS in a social service field plus 5 years of supervisory experience; Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to work independently and provide supervision to the team with strong organization skills, knowledge of community, and the ability to advocate for former foster youth.
• Acceptable driver’s license history.
