Working in home and community with adolescents/young adults to assist with improving their independent living skills. This includes educational planning, job planning, daily living skills, money management, self-care and assisting with linkage to appropriate community resources.
Knowledge of local and state resources pertaining to employment, housing, and financial stability would be beneficial.
Provides intervention as necessary and if required refers and connects adolescents/young adults to crisis counseling and other mental health, or drug addiction treatment services.
Proficient in writing and communication skills.
Collaborate and communicate with providers in the community that may also be working with the youth.
Knowledge of child welfare, mental/behavioral health, child development, and community resources is helpful.
