The Mobile Family Success Center of Middlesex County, operated by Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen in collaboration with key Middlesex County stakeholders is hosting their first Military & Veteran Family Day on Saturday, August, 31, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Yelensics Park behind the Edison Senior Center (Rain date: September 7, 2019). The public is invited to enjoy refreshments while participating in numerous obstacle courses and family activities. The event will also include a display of military vehicles along with other attractions. There will be presentations covering VA benefits, transition assistance, filing claims, and much more. Additionally, community providers and local organizations will share information about their services. This is a free event for all to attend.
“We are excited to connect with our military community to provide them with access to community resources and services,” said Mobile Family Success Center Director, Rosela Roman. “We join with other stakeholders and community members to thank our active and retired service men and women.”
The Mobile Family Success Center of Middlesex County is a community-based, family centered program, utilizing neighborhood gathering places where any community resident can go for family support, information and services. The program currently focuses on bringing services to East Brunswick, Edison, North Brunswick, Piscataway and Sayreville, but events are open to all residents of Middlesex County.
