Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Performing basic clerical functions such as data entry, HR files online, bookkeeping, ordering supplies
Conducting New Hire Orientation and ID Badges, processing onboarding forms, and administering E-verify
Coordinating and tracking the completion of criminal history background checks, requesting the completion of additional background checks and processing related expense reimbursements
Performing driver abstract checks pre-hire and monthly for yearly updates
Conducting employment and education verifications and escalating any discrepancies and/or non-confirmations to the Department Manager, Human Resources
Processing unemployment claims in conjunction with Payroll and Department Manager, Human Resources
Processing monthly Driver’s License status review and tracking
Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
Any other items as deemed necessary by the Department Manager, Human Resources
Requirements:
High School Diploma
Proven experience as an HR assistant, staff assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel); Demonstrated experience in HRIS systems
Excellent organizational, communication, multi-task, attention to detail skills
Strong Teamwork and Independent Skills
Professionalism and diplomacy in dealing with conflict
Actively work with both employees and managers
Ability to convey a positive and professional image to applicants and employees
