As part of a 12-month grant assignment, the Outreach Coordinator will conduct community outreach and education regarding SNAP benefits
Assist individuals with determining eligibility to receive SNAP benefits and assist individuals with applying for benefits.
Follow up with individuals who have applied for benefits as required to determine acceptance into the SNAP program.
Ideal candidate will establish partnerships and working closely with County Board of Social Services to learn about the SNAP program and to collaborate during the duration of the program. Outreach Coordinator will work closely with Agency programs to coordinate and conduct
Minimum Requirements:
HS Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
Candidate must be proficient in written and spoken English. Bilingual Spanish-speaking is preferred.
Candidate will be expected to conduct outreach in all 4 counties: Middlesex, Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
Work Schedule: Part-Time (25 hrs/week); Temporary Position - 12 month assignment
