As part of the National Point-in-Time Count, Warren County held Project Homeless Connect at Saint Philip and Saint James Church in Mercy Hall at 430 South Main St. in Phillipsburg on January 29, 2020. Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen participates annually in this event, and this year also provided one on one consultation of services for residents in need of extra support.
Project Homeless Connect, organized and implemented through the Warren County Department of Human Services Housing Committee, is a one-day, one-stop event in which the community comes together to help those most in need.
On-site immediate services included flu shots, haircuts, winter clothing and a nutritious lunch to individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Additionally, participants received information about housing, emergency social service benefits, legal services, medical services, and local community agency services.
