Immigration Services Program Director to supervise DOJ-accredited staff, administrative support staff and volunteers, as needed
Must be capable of overseeing all administrative and programmatic activities, while carrying a reduced caseload of immigration cases
Ensure all department staff training requirements are maintained and will also communicate all changes affecting Immigration law and the people we serve. Conduct “Know Your Rights” information sessions, stay apprised of immigration laws, and all policies and requirements to retain recognition and staff accreditations
Ensure timely and accurate compliance to all reporting requirements
Work closely with Service Area Director to operationalize the program to be consistent with best practices articulated by CLINIC and AILA
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Law Degree preferred, otherwise a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Immigration legal services and previous DOJ Board of Immigration Appeals accreditation status required
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
If candidate does not hold a law degree, incumbent must earn within the first year and maintain accreditation as an Accredited Representative by the U.S. DOJ Board of Immigration Appeals
