Position
Seeking s Program Supervisor to work in our Aftercare program located in Hillsborough NJ. This position is a great stepping stone opportunity for those in the field of education, social work, child psychology and related fields. Position Description
· Responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high quality before and/or after school program that complies with all NJ Office of Licensing and Child Care Division requirements.
· Supervise all on-site staff in a supportive and professionally developmental manner.
· Maintain positive relationships through effective communication with children, parents, staff, supervisor and host school principal and staff.
· Plan daily developmentally appropriate, fun learning and engaging enrichment activities.
· Provide modeling, training and continuous feedback to staff on positive behavior management strategies and activity facilitation.
· Ensure all health and safety protocols are being adhered to on a daily basis.
· Order and maintain adequate program supplies and snacks to meet the needs of program.
· Attend staff meetings, supervision and professional development trainings.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred and 2 years’ experience working with children a must. Supervisory experience is preferred but employer is willing to train. Must genuinely enjoy working with children, have a strong presence and good organizational skills. Must also possess strong verbal and written communications skills. Should be able to work on early dismissal days following the school calendar.
Hours
Position is part-time, Monday to Friday 1:45pm to 6:30pm plus weekly prep time.
