Adolescence is a vulnerable stage of human development. Today’s youth are growing up in troubled times with deeply troubling realities: drugs, gangs, violence, illiteracy, abuse and disease. There has never been so much freedom, so much information, or so much danger. Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen recognizes the dangers and works to overcome these realities that have been exaggerated by the current pandemic.
The Youth Partial Care (YPC) Program provides group counseling to youth and adolescents who are experiencing serious emotional, behavioral, and/or psychiatric challenges. Youth and adolescents learn to improve social skills, enhance coping strategies for managing difficult situations and are given the opportunity to bond with other youth and adolescents who understand their challenges.
Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen is offering IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for youth ages 9-17 in the Youth Partial Care (YPC) program. Services provided include assessment and evaluation, referral, linkage and follow-up services, group therapy, monthly family sessions, psychiatric evaluation and monthly medication monitoring. The YPC program provides each youth and their family an individualized treatment plan. The program runs on Mondays-Thursdays from 3:45PM-6:45PM. Transportation to and from the program is available, and Medicaid is accepted. Due to the current pandemic, services are currently provided primarily via telehealth.
