Supportive Partners in Recovery and Treatment (SPIRIT) is an intensive outpatient program that provides individualized acute outpatient mental health care.
Individual, family and group therapies, support groups, illness management recovery, substance abuse education, case management, and medication monitoring.
Program staff are available to help consumers access public transportation to and from the program. A limited amount of transportation is available to consumers who do not have other means of transportation.
Clients must be 18 years of age or older, have been diagnosed with a mental health diagnosis according to the DSM criteria, have psychiatric symptoms severe enough to interfere with functioning in two or more areas of life, possess the ability to be maintained in a community setting and be a resident of Hunterdon or Somerset County.
Clients may self-refer. Referrals are also accepted from any inpatient acute facility, Short-Term Care Facilities, State Hospitals or Emergency Screening Center serving Somerset or Hunterdon County residents.
